Technical Information: Calceolaria
Indoor Pot F1 Hybrids
Generally treated as greenhouse biennial, sown August-October for flowering December-March. Details for Anytime: 2-3 weeks at 19-21°C, sow on compost surface, do not exclude light. Prick out into large cell trays, then later into the final pot, lowering the temperature to around 12°C. 46,000 seeds per gram.
Sell in: 11-12cm pots.
End Use: Indoor pot plant.

Hardy Perennials
Sunset Mixed
Sow early Autumn for flowering April-June, or late Winter-early Spring to flower mid Summer onwards. Sow the fine seeds on the compost surface, germinate at 20°C, grow on at 20°C.
Sell in: 10cm pots.
End Use: Borders, rockeries.

Biflora Types
Sow July-August at 20°C.Germination time 2-3 weeks. Sow 3-4 seeds per plug. Pot on after 6-8 weeks. Grow on at 10-12°C

Mexicana
Perennial treated as annual: Sow January-February, germinates in 1-2 weeks at 15-18°C, sow on compost surface, do not exclude light. Raise temperature to 15°C for young seedlings, then grow on at 10°C.
